To Diane Feinstein – Alberto Gonzales

Dear Senator Feinstein,

I am writing to you to urge that you very strongly oppose the nomination of Alberto Gonzales to be Attorney General of the United States.

I believe that his behavior as White House Counsel and as legal counsel to then Governor Bush shows him to be a man with no respect for the rule of law and I believe his appointment to be an insult to the world and a disgrace for the United States. His approval by the Senate will only confirm the view of those who hold America in low esteem and will fuel those who hate us.

Allegedly, the past election turn on the issue of values. It seems to me that if the Democratic party cannot oppose such a man, then it has no values.

Please make this first step toward taking back our country.

Sincerely,

Ray Baxter
